What does "active suffrage" mean in Germany?

1. You can be elected.
2. You must go vote.
3. You can vote. ✓
4. You must attend the counting of the votes.

Active suffrage is your right to cast a vote in an election. In contrast, 'passive suffrage' is the right to actually run as a candidate to be elected to office!
